The UWSA General Election 2024 Nomination Period begins today!

The nomination Period opens at: 9 a.m. on Monday, Jan 29.

The nomination Period closes at: 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb 8.

Do you want to create positive change for your fellow students at the University of Winnipeg?

The General Election is where students can run for an Executive Team position (President, Vice-President Student Affairs), a Board of Director position, a Board of Regents seat, or a Senator position.  

Becoming an Executive Director or a member of the UWSA Board of Directors gives you experience serving on a non-profit board, awards you the opportunity to connect with student communities and represent their needs, gives you a voice to help make decisions that impact students and the university, and helps you learn more about the student union, university governance, and lobbying government.

UWSA Daycare's 50th Anniversary Celebration

This event celebrates a half-century of excellence in child care on campus. Since its inception in 1974 in the basement of Bryce Hall, the UWSA Daycare has been a proud leader in the childcare sector through its continued growth.

The UWSA daycare is a unique environment where student parents, faculty and staff from UWinnipeg and community residents form a shared and diverse community where inclusivity and dynamic campus-supported programming result in exceedingly high standards of child care.

The Opening Ceremony will begin at 3:45 p.m. Please join us for activities, guest speakers, and refreshments. All are welcome to attend!

UWSA Holiday Drive for Foodbank & CommUNITY204

November 29th, 2023

The UWSA Holiday Donation Drive is a food, hygiene, menstrual products, and clothing donation drive that started in 2016/17. This year’s donation drive is for the UWSA Foodbank and CommUNITY204. All of the donations must be lightly used, brand new or unopened.

We will be collecting till Dec 13!

What does Foodbank need: 

  • Non-perishable items (beans, soup, pasta, sauce, dried good, potato chips, peanut butter, honey, etc.)
  • Toothbrushes
  • Toothpaste
  • Dental Floss
  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
  • Soap
  • Body Wash
  • Deodorant
  • Pads
  • Tampons
  • Diva Cups
  • What Foodbank doesn’t need:
    • No mouthwash
    • No cosmetics/make-up
    • No razors

What CommUNITY204 needs:
