The UWSA wants to support activities and events that interest UWinnipeg students. The UWSA Events Department offers event space bookings to registered student groups, local community, UofW Campus groups, and other organizations to hold events and meetings. Groups can fill out the form below to hold meetings and events hosting up to 175 participants. You will get a reply with your booking in around five business days.

Please note our busiest times of the year are August – October and January – February, and expect a long reply.

Event Space Booking Details:

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Submitting an event space request is NOT a confirmation of the booking. Your event will not be considered confirmed until you receive an email from the UWSA Events Department.

Things to remember when submitting:

  • We suggest you submit your event space form a minimum of 10 business days in advance.
  • Bookings made less than 5 days before your event are not guaranteed and that equipment will be available.
  • All signage, banners and promotional materials may not be mounted or displayed on walls, windows or doors. If you’re wanting to put things on walls, please email events@theuwsa.ca.
  • You are welcome to bring your own catering, food, and snacks to our spaces, but please check-in with events@theuwsa.ca.
  • Every Friday, the Foodbank operates from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. Please keep this in mind when booking for Fridays. You may inquire if we can move the Foodbank, but this is not guaranteed.
  • Please note we do not allow liquor services in UWSA Spaces unless catered by Diversity Food Services. 

 Policy and requirements:

  • All groups must follow the UWSA Positive Space Event Policy, UWSA Policy Manual, and the University of Winnipeg Respectful Working and Learning Environment policy. Submitting this form indicates an understanding of an agreement to adhere to these policies.

  • The University of Winnipeg Students’ Association reserves the right to reject or remove event bookings when the Events Department deems the activities to be disruptive, offensive, unsafe, harmful or contrary to the University and UWSA’s policies, students, faculty, and/or staff.
