We are reintroducing our UWSA Service Centres! These are spaces dedicated to different student communities. For any questions about the service centres and lounges, please email the program manager at programs@theuwsa.ca.

Rainbow Lounge

The Rainbow Lounge is a safe, social space open to all students with an open and inclusive view of sexuality and gender diversity. The lounge is located in the Bulman Student Centre, Concourse Level, Room 0R13.

BIPoC Lounge

The BIPoC Lounge is a dedicated space for Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour to gather and find community. The lounge is located in the Bulman Student Centre, Concourse Level, Room 0R14.

Women-Trans Spectrum Centre

The Women-Trans Spectrum Centre is an accessible and inclusive resource centre for women and trans students. The lounge is located in the Bulman Student Centre, Concourse Level, Room 0R12.

Access Lounge

The Access Lounge is a space on campus dedicated to students who are disabled by barriers. It’s located in the Bulman Student Centre, Mezzanine Level, Room 0RM06.

Fall Term Update from The University of Winnipeg

August 18th, 2022

The University of Winnipeg has announced that masking is now highly recommended but not a mandatory requirement at the campus for the Fall Term, effective on Wednesday, August 17. Masks will still be available at certain locations throughout the campus for students, faculty, staff and visitors who feel more comfortable wearing them.

The UofW also announced that the campus is now open to the public since August 17. The University will be open Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6 pm for the Fall Term. The UofW will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and modify restrictions as needed.

Job Opportunity: Digital Marketing Assistant

Have you ever wanted to be part of the UWSA team? We have an opening for the part-time position of Digital Marketing Assistant (DMA)! This part-time position is scheduled to start on July 18, 2022. 

The DMA works alongside the Graphic Design Assistant in service of the UWSA Communications department and is an integral role. Some of their duties are social media content creation and monitoring, website updates, photography and videography, and communication and marketing strategy support.
