Jack.org UWinnipeg

Jack.org UWinnipeg is a student-led mental health advocacy group dedicated to creating a campus culture where students feel supported, heard, and empowered to talk about mental health. As part of Canada’s largest youth-led mental health organization, the chapter focuses on peer-to-peer education, stigma reduction, and community-building initiatives. Through workshops, discussion spaces, awareness campaigns, and creative events, Jack.org UWinnipeg works to make conversations about mental health accessible and inclusive for all students. The group aims to complement existing campus wellness resources while fostering connection, leadership, and meaningful dialogue within the University of Winnipeg community.
Membership: Open to all University of Winnipeg students, regardless of program, year of study, or prior experience with mental health advocacy. Students can become members by attending meetings or events, signing up through the group’s communication channels, or expressing interest via email or social media. No formal training or background is required to join. Members are encouraged to participate at a level that feels comfortable for them, whether through event attendance, volunteering, or leadership involvement.
