The University of Winnipeg Golden Key Chapter (UWGK)

Golden Key is the largest collegiate honour society in the world. Since 1977, its members have demonstrated the pillars of Academics, Leadership, and Service. The organization has more than 400 chapters at universities across the U.S.A., Australia, Malaysia, South Africa, India, and beyond, with more than 2 million current and alumni members worldwide. Members have access to regular seminars, information sessions, professional workshops, and networking events hosted by industry leaders in Business, STEM, and other fields. Members can also take advantage of thousands of scholarship and award opportunities offered by the organization, as well as LSAT and MCAT preparation resources. At the University of Winnipeg, members can give back to the community through volunteer initiatives with organizations such as the Canadian Red Cross, Canadian Blood Services, and The Salvation Army. Students who value academic excellence and are eager to make the most of their university experience are encouraged to join Golden Key.

Membership Fee: $95 fee. The University of Winnipeg sends out an invitation each year to students who are in the top 15% of their academic area of study. The GPA cut-off is determined by The University of Winnipeg. Once the letter is sent to students who have completed 30 credits, the student decides if they wish to join the Golden Key International Honors Society (GKIHS). They must be a UW student, completed 30 credits, and have a GPA in the top 15% of the area of study that has been set by The University of Winnipeg.
