Students of Science Association

The Students of Science Association welcomes undergraduate students majoring in any science to join. SOSA aims to assist students in networking with professors, accessing awards and job opportunities, and developing skills that will be of use in their degree and potential future careers. Members may also receive discounts for prep courses and scholarships. Navigating a science degree can be overwhelming, even for third and fourth-year students. The purpose of this group is to provide guidance to take advantage of all available opportunities and ensure students are getting the most out of their time at the University of Winnipeg. Social events are also organized throughout the school year to help students connect with each other and have a chance to unwind.

Membership: Free membership is available to students from all fields of science. To become a member or for all other inquiries, email uw.sosa@gmail.com. Student members will have access to a shared study space in Richardson College for the Environment and Science Complex.

Meetings: Generally held on Fridays from 12:30 pm to 1:20 pm in-person (0RC013) every second week. Meetings will be announced via group email and may be subject to change.
