Game Studies Society (GSS)

Welcome to the Game Studies Society, where we’re leveling up in style with a fresh new look and a sleek new logo! Whether you’re into board games, video games, card games, tabletop RPGs, or even sports, this is the place to be for anyone passionate about the world of games. Our community is all about connection-making friends, sharing knowledge, and diving deep into the magic of game design and creation. No matter where your interests lie, you’ll find a welcoming space to explore, learn, and most importantly, play. So come join us on every Monday night from 5 pm till 9 pm and be part of something exciting. Let’s play, learn, and grow together!

Membership: All students are welcome to join, and even better, it is free! The fun doesn’t stop in person, though! You can join our Discord community & check out our Instagram for regular announcements and updates! We also host our weekly game nights, as well as our popular annual “Game Over” Fest in collaboration with the UW Esports Team and the Rhetoric & Writing Department, spliced together with some pizza parties and mini-events held throughout the year.
