Global College Student Advisory Council (GCSAC)

Interested in community advocacy? GCSAC is a student group open to all disciplines. Our group organizes events, charity drives, fundraisers, and coordinates volunteer opportunity for members across the city. We aim to advance human rights via a community and university collaboration. Meetings are held every 2 weeks and consistent connection and dialogue is maintained over WhatsApp. Together, we foster engagement and promote human rights both within Winnipeg and internationally.

Membership: Open to anyone at the University of Winnipeg. Though most members are from the Global College within the Human Rights degree, many folks participate from a variety of disciplines. Common adjacent studies include conflict resolution studies, international development studies, criminal justice, and psychology. We also have many members from neuroscience, chemistry, and other science majors.

To become a member, please reach out either to our Instagram or Email and we will provide you a quick form to complete. From here, you will be added to the WhatsApp to keep up to date with upcoming meeting times.
