The UWSA is looking to hire a the UWSA Executive Director (ED)!
The ED is the UWSA’s most senior staff member and is responsible for the operations and management of the UWSA’s business. The ED directly oversees the organization’s management team and is responsible for managing and monitoring the performance of the full-time Operational Management Team, MGEU Local 153. The ED supports the Board of Directors, the President and Vice-Presidents, and is responsible for developing and executing the services and strategics required to deliver objectives and goals established by the Board of Directors. The ED acts as a vital connection, bridging the Board of Directors and the Operational Staff of the UWSA. The ED reports directly to the Board of Directors.
The ED will provide management and financial oversight of the organization to ensure that operations run smoothly, and work with the Executive Team to build and maintain key relationships with various partners, both on and off-campus. Their responsibilities will generally be divided between those requiring direct oversight and accountability, and those that will be done in conjunction with the President and/or members of the Executive team.
The ED position is scheduled to start on April 1, 2026.

What is it? We are collecting lightly used clothes to create a thrift shop for our students. Each student who shows up at the Fashion Show on November 28 will be able to select one free item from our Thrift Drive.
Why are we doing it? We know students have a tight budget from paying for food, tuition, supplies, and more. To help be sustainable and affordable we wanted to create a Thrift Shop to help lessen the burden.
When is the Thrift Shop? It will be open on Friday, November 28 during the duration of the Fashion Show.
What can you donate?

A student-led fashion show that playfully explores how people imagine university students dress based on their major versus how they actually do. Using pop culture characters to represent “expectations” and real students to show “reality,” this event will highlight the diversity, and true personality of our campus. By blending entertainment, inclusivity, and creativity, the show will bring students together and celebrate the individuality that makes our university unique.
