University of Winnipeg Debate Club (UWDC)

UWDC is for any students interested in debate and public speaking. This club provides a safe space for students to practice forming opinions and discussing them in an academic setting with peers. Meetings are held biweekly with at least 1 debate a month. Different forms of debate and public speaking will be touched upon, including impromptu speaking, round table discussions, and different styles of debate. Our goal is to help students improve their skills and confidence in debate and public speaking while building a community of debaters at UofW.

Membership: All University of Winnipeg students are welcome to join, regardless of majors or previous debate experience. There is no membership fee. Anyone interested please email us or DM us on Instagram and we will provide further details.
