Immigrant and Refugee Student Society (IRSS)
The Immigrant and Refugee Student Society is a welcoming and supportive community where students from all backgrounds can connect, share experiences, and celebrate diversity. Our club provides a safe space for newcomers and allies to build friendships, access resources, and engage in meaningful discussions about culture, identity, and student life. Through social events, workshops, and advocacy initiatives, we aim to empower immigrant and refugee students to thrive academically, socially, and personally. Whether you’re looking for support, leadership opportunities, or simply a place to belong, our society is here for you!
Membership: The Immigrant and Refugee Student Society welcomes all students who identify as immigrants, refugees, newcomers, or allies who support our mission of inclusivity and empowerment. Membership is open to anyone at the University of Winnipeg who values diversity, equity, and community building.
