Student Funding Opportunities
The UWSA offers opportunities for University of Winnipeg students and UWSA Recognized Student Groups to apply for funding for conferences and events that are beneficial to the UWSA, University of Winnipeg students, the university community, or the surrounding community.
Student Group Funding:
The UWSA values student group events as a part of its service to the membership, and university life. UWSA recognizes student groups in two categories: 1) Recognized Groups 2) Affiliated Groups. Only Recognized Groups are eligible to apply for UWSA Student Funding Opportunities.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The UWSA has a limited amount of funding available for student groups.
The UWSA can reimburse expense up to your approved amount:
- Any programming/event costs – food, services, supplies, printing, rentals.
- The UWSA will NOT reimburse expenses for alcohol, conferences, travel, honorariums, or personal purchases.

University of Winnipeg’s funding opportunities for Students:
Financial assistance administered by the Awards & Financial Aid Office offers a comprehensive program of scholarships, awards, prizes and bursaries. Awards administered through the Awards & Financial Aid Office are open to both undergraduate and graduate students.
