Student Group Open Letter Addressed to the UWSA
At the UWSA Annual General Meeting on March 16, 2022, the UofW Physics Students’ Association Co-President brought forward a letter regarding the formal complaints brought to the Election Accountability Board (EAB) about the current UWSA President’s conduct. This letter is signed by 14 independent student groups and associations on campus, outlining UWSA by-laws breached during the election, examples of misconduct and other complaints, and the UWSA’s failure to be transparent and diligent in informing the student body. Students can read the full Open Letter here: Student Group Open Letter to the UWSA.
The UWSA is deeply concerned by these matters and will address the letter and the concerns students discussed at the AGM in open session at the next UWSA Board of Directors Meeting on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. All UofW students are welcome to attend the Open Session. Please email t.hanan@theuwsa.ca by 4.30 PM on the meeting day for the Zoom link using your UWinnipeg webmail address and your Student ID Number.
If you are a student with questions or concerns regarding UWSA representative conduct, please contact Vice-President Student Affairs, Reza Saker Hossain at rs.hossain@theuwsa.ca.
