Everyone has the right to work and learn in an inclusive environment. Many university students have one or more disabilities that limit them in their daily activities. Many of those disabilities are invisible, such as learning disabilities and mental health-related ones.
In this Info Session, you will learn the role of the Human Rights and Diversity Office at the University of Winnipeg and what Reasonable Accommodation means, disability-related and otherwise. We will go over what the Respectful Working and Learning Environment Policy is and how it works, and the role and processes of Accessibility Services. You will come away with an understanding of your options for resolving concerns, the steps involved in seeking accommodation, and so much more!
