NDN Zine Project (UWNZP)
The NDN Zine Project is a new creative community at the University of Winnipeg dedicated to uplifting the voices, art, and stories of Indigenous students. Rooted in the DIY spirit of zine-making, the collective provides a space for collaboration, self-expression, and cultural pride, where members can share poetry, artwork, photography, essays, language, and lived experience. Each issue of the zine will highlight the diverse perspectives of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students, while creating bridges of understanding across campus. A publication and collective that encourages Indigenous students to experiment, create, and publish their work, while offering the broader university community a chance to engage with Indigenous creativity in authentic and inspiring ways.
Membership: Is open to all currently registered students at the University of Winnipeg who support the mandate of the collective. The group’s primary focus is to uplift and showcase the creative voices of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students, and Indigenous students are especially encouraged to join and contribute. You can become a member by expressing interest directly to our Instagram or Email!
