UWSA Elections

The UWSA General Election is where students can run for an Executive Team position (President, Vice-President Student Affairs, and Vice-President External Affairs), Emerging Leader Director position, a Board of Director position, a Senate position or a Board of Regents seat.

Key Dates:

UWSA elections run on a six-week cycle.

All Candidates Training and Campaign Preparation Period:
Headshot Photo Days (candidates may book a 15-minute session): 
Campaign Period: Candidates are prohibited from campaigning in-person during Voting Period but may continue online.

In accordance with the By-law 5 – Elections and Referenda, the UWSA General Election will be held online and in-person with virtual and in-person balloting and campaigning.

Candidates can review Election By-Laws in Sections 4 and 5 of the UWSA By-Laws. 

Appeals and Complaints 

All Appeals and Complaints for the UWSA General Elections will follow the UWSA By-Law and the UWinnipeg Respectful Work and Learning Policy.
