More Than A Door: More Accomplished
Launched on November 17, 2020.
A door may just be a door to you, but it is much more than that for a student who uses mobility aids. From classrooms and labs to washrooms and common areas, accessible doors are pathways to independence that makes education accessible to students with disabilities.
This campaign aims to assess the accessibility needs and limitations that students who use mobility aids face on campus, research the issue, raise awareness, and present a final report with recommendations to the University administration.
While working in collaboration with the University of Winnipeg, we have increased the number of accessible doors on campus, limiting the challenges students with disabilities face on campus.
